Pursuant to due call and proper notice, a meeting of the City of Wolverton Council was held on February 15, 2017 in Council Chambers in the City of Wolverton, MN. The meeting was called to order by Chad Erickson at 6:15 P.M. Council members present: Lisa Pool, Eric Anderson, and Geoff Zibell.

Also Present: Randy Schmidt and John Kappes
Absent: Nancy Olthoff

Presentation:

Minutes: Geoff Zibell moved to accept the January 10, 2017 meeting minutes. It was seconded by Lisa and carried, all in favor.

Bills & Claims: The checks and bills were reviewed Eric Anderson moved to accept the bills & claims. It was seconded by Geoff and carried, all in favor.

Overdue Utilities: #1- John will shut-off as soon as he can get through the ice.

Correspondence: Was shared with the council

Engineer/Water/Sewer: John reported that Polar got the siren moved. He contacted H&H coatings for an estimate to install a bubbler. They would charge approximately $17,000 not including electrical work. He has been cleaning in the shop and will be getting the mowers and mosquito sprayer ready. He also has plans for park and ball park renovations.

Chad stated that he talked to Chris from Polar again on the line that needs to be moved from Betz’s property. Geoff Zibell moved to accept their quote and have the line removed and buried. It was seconded by Eric and carried, all in favor.

Fire Department: Randy stated they are getting state bidding on radios. It is 48-49% cheaper. This would cost about $2,800 + an additional $1,000 if we wanted a dual band. We need to look into our gaming ordinance. We also need to have a fire board meeting.

Fire Board: Need to set up a meeting.

Rescue: Randy stated that Sabin is selling their ambulance for $1,000 if we are interested.

Parks: Rink has not been used much with the nice weather.

Streets: None

Mayor/City Clerk:
Jessi is working on the 2016 Audit.

We received a complaint on a dog along with a report from the Wilkin County Sheriff. We will send a letter along with our animal ordinance.

Planning Commission: No Report.

Office of Tourism: No Report.

Municipal Business Development:

Old Business: Need to review tree ordinance further

Motion to Adjourn: on February 15, 2017 by Eric Anderson. It was seconded by Geoff and carried, all in favor. Mayor Nancy Olthoff declared the meeting adjourned. The next Wolverton City Council Meeting will be Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at 6:15 pm.
