Pursuant to due call and proper notice, a meeting of the City of Wolverton Council was held on May 9, 2017 in Council Chambers in the City of Wolverton, MN. The meeting was called to order by Chad Erickson at 6:15 P.M. Council members present: Lisa Pool, Chad Erickson, Eric Anderson and Geoff Zibell.

Absent: Nancy Olthoff
Also Present: John Kappes

Presentation: Karl & Karen Thomson presented a building permit. They bought a bare lot from Don Nelson and are planning to dig a basement, build a garage and move their old house on to the property. They are hoping to have it ready for the market this fall. The county would do the buildings inspections. The City will establish a physical address for the property.

Minutes: Lisa Pool moved to accept the April 11, 2017 meeting minutes and April 20, 2017 special meeting minutes. It was seconded by Geoff and carried, all in favor.

Bills & Claims: The checks and bills were reviewed Geoff Zibell moved to accept the bills & claims. It was seconded by Lisa and carried, all in favor.

Overdue Utilities: #1- Received a payment
#2 has been turned this water off-Chad will go down and talk to him

Correspondence: None

Engineer/Water/Sewer: Water tower has been cleaned.
Does he need to mow Victoria’s? Clerk will send a letter to owner’s that they will be billed for the mowing.
John will be fixing the fence at the ball diamond.
He has started repairs on the park shelter.
What is going on with the old Fire Truck alongside the hall? It belongs to DNR.
John would like to purchase a riding mower. This would greatly speed up the mowing. Eric Anderson made a motion for John to purchase a mower with a maximum cost of $7,000. It was seconded by Geoff and carried, all in favor.

Fire Department: Eric stated that they did a live burn training last Saturday. It went very good and they learned a lot.

Fire Board: Questions from the special meeting were forwarded to Randy.

Rescue: None

Parks: Get flyers out for kickball

Streets: None

Mayor/City Clerk:
Geoff stated that he reviewed the city website. It is very outdated and hard to work with. He could design something and we would just buy a domain name for $10/$15 per year, than $30 a month.

We have received a question on if the city has laws on the use of 4-wheerls in town. This will be reviewed further.
