Pursuant to due call and proper notice, a meeting of the City of Wolverton Council was held on August 17, 2017 in Council Chambers in the City of Wolverton, MN. The meeting was called to order by Nancy Olthoff at 6:15 P.M. Council members present: Lisa Pool, Chad Erickson, Eric Anderson and Geoff Zibell.

Absent: None
Also Present: Michael from KLM

Presentation: Michael attended the meeting to discuss a mixer for the water town which will help keep the water fresh and prevent freezing in the winter. Lifespan of this mixer is about 10-12 years and includes a 3 year warranty. They would still honor the quote given last year of around $11,000 if we are interested. They also can provide tower inspections, cleanings etc. We will be looking at this from a budget stand point and will let him know if we are interested in proceeding.

Minutes: Geoff Zibell moved to accept the July 11, 2017 meeting minutes. It was seconded by Chad and carried, all in favor.

Bills & Claims: The checks and bills were reviewed Chad Erickson moved to accept the bills & claims. It was seconded by Lisa and carried, all in favor.

Overdue Utilities:
#1- Has been shut-off
#2, 3, 4- certified letter

Correspondence:
Correspondence was shared with the council.

Engineer/Water/Sewer:
Water & Sewer has been good.
He has been mowing, spraying cutting trees etc.

Fire Department: Getting ready for the Fall Festival.
We received a payment from the insurance for the building fire in town.
Clerk will follow-up with Randy about getting our questions answered.

Fire Board: None

Rescue: Training online. A guy from Christine has joined the squad.

Parks:
Campground sign was put up with contact info on it.
Next Thursday the 24th is the last day of kickball.
We will be looking at doing a fall event.

Streets:
Chad stated he had looked into Christmas decorations. Estimated cost is $700-$800 each so a total of about $9,600.
We need to do an inventory on light poles throughout town and then let Xcel know which ones are not working.

Mayor/City Clerk:
We received a citizen compliant about a property in town for garbage and junk being around the yard as well as the strong stench of cat urine coming from the garage. Clerk will have pictures taken of the property and will send an ordinance violation letter.

Clerk will also send an ordinance violation letter to the owner of the lot across from Victoria’s for having an inoperable vehicle parked there for a long period of time.

We will let the current website expire and Geoff will be working on getting a new one set-up.
