Pursuant to due call and proper notice, a meeting of the City of Wolverton Council was held on April 19, 2018 in Council Chambers in the City of Wolverton, MN. The meeting was called to order by Nancy Olthoff at 6:15 P.M. Council members present: Lisa Pool, Chad Erickson, Geoff Zibell and Eric Anderson.
Absent: None
Also Present: Mike Strodtman, MN Rural Water, Rick Fielder Wilkin County Sheriff and Luke from Eide Bailly
Presentation:
Mike presented Part two of the Wellhead protection plan. Reviewed and discussed the plan. Geoff Zibell moved to approve the plan. It was seconded by Lisa and carried, all in favor. Jess will send the approval to MN Department of Health.
Rick Fiedler presented an overview of the 2017 year. Wolverton was slightly up in activity from 2016.
Luke from Eide Bailly presented the financial overview from 2017. The audit went very well and we received an unmodified opinion.
Minutes: Geoff Zibell moved to accept the March 8, 2018 meeting minutes. It was seconded by Lisa and carried, all in favor.
Bills & Claims: The checks and bills were reviewed Chad Erickson moved to accept the bills & claims. It was seconded by Geoff and carried, all in favor.
Overdue Utilities:
#1 & 2-Certified letter
Correspondence:
Correspondence was shared with the council.
Engineer/Water/Sewer:
1. Working on cleaning up around town.
2. Pumping water
3. John was in Elbow Lake last week for a water class.
4. Campground is rented out all summer.
5. Presented bids for the water panel. He will work on getting some bids for the electrical work.
6. The fire truck and water pump are gone.
7. We need new impellers for the sewer lift station. Should have an estimate next month.
8. John would like to purchase new shingles for shop Chad Erickson moved to make this purchase. It was seconded by Eric and carried, all in favor.
Fire Department: None
Rescue: None
Parks: Lisa is working to plan kickball again for this year. It will start after memorial day. We will make a request to the celebration committee fund to help with some of the cost.
Streets:
Eric has called again on the street lights. It is on their list to get done.
Mayor/City Clerk:
1. Auto-Pay- We currently have 8 people enrolled.
2. Clean up week will be the 15th or 22nd. Jessi is communicating with T & G Sanitation to confirm a date. A notice will be put up and included in May Statements.
3. We need to work on rewriting the utility ordinance.
Planning Commission: No Report.
