Pursuant to due call and proper notice, a meeting of the City of Wolverton Council was held on August 14, 2018 in Council Chambers in the City of Wolverton, MN. The meeting was called to order by Nancy Olthoff at 6:15 P.M. Council members present: Geoff Zibell, Eric Anderson, Lisa Pool and Chad Erickson.
Absent: None
Also Present: R.C. Stein
Presentation:
R.C. was present on behalf of Faith Lutheran Church. There is an upcoming event called “Gods Work Our Hands” in which the church gets involved in a community project, therefore, he is wondering if there is anything they can help do within our community. The council will keep this in mind and get back to him with any suggestions. FLC will be providing ice cream at the last All City Gathering on August 30th.
Minutes: Geoff Zibell moved to accept the July 10, 2018 meeting minutes. It was seconded by Chad and carried, all in favor.
Bills & Claims: The checks and bills were reviewed Chad Erickson moved to accept the bills & claims. It was seconded by Lisa and carried, all in favor.
Overdue Utilities:
Utility Ordinance enforcement begins this month. All past due accounts will be sent a shut off letter on the 30th of each month.
Correspondence: Correspondence was shared.
Engineer/Water/Sewer:
1. John provided three water panel quotes. Each was reviewed. Chad Erickson moved to approve the quote from Sweeney out of Fargo, ND. It was seconded by Lisa and carried, all in favor.
2. Gravel work was done on the alleys. After it has been packed down he will bring more fill into the low spots.
3. Cleaned the coolie.
4. We have one open campsite for a couple of weeks then that renter will be back again.
5. Street lights- Electrician was out he suggested it may be a breaker as there is no power getting to those four poles at all.
6. John replaced the well pump fuses as it kept tripping out.
7. John presented a quote from Liberty Fence for $775 for the materials to complete the fence at the park. Eric Anderson moved to approve this purchase. It was seconded by Geoff and carried, all in favor.
Fire Department: Jessi spoke to Randy. There is a new person taking the position with the State, therefore, we now need to wait until this new person is in place before we can continue.
Fire Department has been on one call for a combine header fire.
Rescue: None
Parks:
1. Last All City Gathering will be on August 30th. We will have yard games as well as kickball.
Streets: None
Mayor/City Clerk:
1. 2019 Budget information was provided for each fund. Tax levies will need to be set in September.
Planning Commission: No Report.
Office of Tourism: No Report.
Municipal Business Development: None

Motion to Adjourn: on August 14, 2018 by Geoff Zibell. It was seconded by Chad and carried, all in favor. Mayor Nancy Olthoff declared the meeting adjourned. The next Wolverton City Council Meeting will be Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 6:15 pm.
