Minutes of Wolverton City Council Meeting

Pursuant to due call and proper notice, a meeting of the City of Wolverton Council was held on April 14, 2020 via Zoom Conference Meeting. The meeting was called to order by Nancy Olthoff at 6:15 P.M. Council members present: Geoff Zibell, Duane Nelson, Chad Erickson and Lisa Pool.

Absent: None
Also Present:

Presentation: None

Minutes: Chad Erickson moved to accept the March 5, 2020 meeting minutes. It was seconded by Lisa and carried, all in favor.

Bills & Claims: The checks and bills were reviewed Chad Erickson moved to accept the bills & claims. It was seconded by Geoff and carried, all in favor.

Overdue Utilities:
Shutoff letters were sent on April 2nd.

Correspondence: The gravel bid from Turner Sand & Gravel was reviewed and accepted.

Engineer/Water/Sewer:
1. New pump was put in and is pumping at 89 gallons per minutes.
2. Suez company and KLM provided quotes for water tower cleaning. John will research if we have a contract with our current cleaner.
3. Quality Pump was out and fixed the other pump.
4. John will talk to T & G about their route so we can avoid alleys.

Parks: Nancy will research city requirements during the current guidelines with COVID-19.

Streets: None

Mayor/City Clerk:
1. Discussed the antique store. There are poles and vehicles parked on city property. Additionally, there is stuff on the sidewalk. The city has received multiple complaints about the appearance of the property. A letter will be sent to the property owner which will include a fine if not taking care of within the designated timeframe.
2. Nancy will also research utility payment guidelines during the shutdown for those unable to work.
3. No visitors will be allowed in city buildings for the time being.

Planning Commission: No Report.

Office of Tourism: No Report.

Municipal Business Development: No Report.

New Business: None

Old Business: None

Motion to Adjourn: on April 14, 2020 by Lisa Pool. It was seconded by Duane and carried, all in favor. Mayor Nancy Olthoff declared the meeting adjourned. The next Wolverton City Council Meeting will be Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at 6:15 pm.
