Minutes of Wolverton City Council Meeting

Pursuant to due call and proper notice, a meeting of the City of Wolverton Council was held on August 10, 2021. The meeting was called to order by Chad Erickson at 6:15 P.M. Council members present: Geoff Zibell and Lisa Pool.

Absent: Luke Krazter

Presentation: None

Minutes:
a. Geoff Zibell moved to accept the July 2021 minutes. It was seconded by Lisa and carried, all in favor.
Bills & Claims:
a. Geoff Zibell moved to accept the bills & claims. It was seconded by Lisa and carried, all in favor.
Utilities:
1 Shutoff letter was sent and has been paid.

Correspondence: Building permit was reviewed and approved subject staying within lot spacing

Engineer/Water/Sewer:
a. Water and sewer numbers are good.
b. Working on city hall sign
c. Mowing, weeding, and spraying around town.
d. Mike Nelson will let us use the dirt from down at the farm to even out the campground. Chad also has a pile in his yard that the city can use.
e. Do we want a camera up at the park? We currently have 2 at the diamond so we could move one over for now. Possibly purchase another one in the future if needed.
f. Menards called and asked if their painting team could come out and do a community service project. They are coming to look at options on August 18th.
g. ISO contacted John about water hydrants, tower, etc. for our fire rating. He will send in the requested information.
h. Water tower was cleaned, and all went well.
i. Willow tree will be cut down this fall.
j. Fogging is typically done Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday. We will switch and start doing Monday and Thursday for the time being.
k. John has requested a couple of additional quotes for the well.
l. This fall tree trimming will need to be done on all alleys and streets.
Parks:
a. Lisa has been trying to work with Scheels to get help with a basketball hoop. Jessi will swing by there and pick up the paperwork and get advice on which types work the best.
Streets:
a. Turners graded the roads.
b. Snow removal-Visit with the guy from last year and see if he is interested.

Mayor/City Clerk:
a. Jessi will contact the city attorney and ask for additional clarification on the process of violation and the fees involved.
b. Budgets need to be done and tax levy set next month. Jessi will send out all applicable information to the council.
c. Mayor position-Cover letter and application will be sent out to residents.
d. Discussed that Justin Neppl will be attending a meeting in the future to discuss diversion funds and economic development options.
e. The job description was reviewed, Jessi will finalize and have it signed.
f. Travel policy and Resolutions #803 & #804 were read. Lisa Pool moved to approve them. It was seconded by Geoff and carried, all in favor.
g. Discussed community projects that Breckenridge high school students could complete. This will be sent out to residents for input.

Office of Tourism: No Report.

Municipal Business Development: No Report.

Motion to Adjourn: on August 20, 2021 by Geoff Zibell. It was seconded by Lisa and carried, all in favor. Chad Erickson declared the meeting adjourned. The next Wolverton City Council Meeting will be Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at 6:15 pm.
