Minutes of Wolverton City Council Meeting
Pursuant to due call and proper notice, a meeting of the City of Wolverton Council was held on February 10, 2026. The meeting was called to order by Jessica Nelson at 6:15 P.M. Council members present were Josh Jensen, Frank Israelson, and Shawn O’Dell.
Absent: None
Also Present: None
Presentation:
Tony Harris Wilkin County Sheriff-108 calls up from roughly around 70 the previous year. Reviewed 2026 contract and paid for services.
Minutes:
a. Josh Jensen moved to accept January 2026 minutes. It was seconded by Frank Israelson and carried, all in favor.
Bills & Claims:
a. Josh Jensen moved to accept the bills & claims. It was seconded by Frank Israelson and carried, all in favor.
Utilities: No new ones. Other past due resident will be shutoff.
Correspondence: Reviewed – Josh and Jessica will be attending the meeting at the county.
Engineer/Water/Sewer:
a. Water and Sewer have been good.
Parks: None
Streets: None
Mayor/City Clerk:
a. Resolution #846 Resolution to Adopt the 2025 Wilkin County Hazard Mitigation Plan. Shawn O’Dell moved to accept the resolution. It was seconded by Frank and carried, all in favor.
b. Rural resident inquired about selling fruits and vegetables in town. No restrictions as long as property owners give her permission to set up.
c. Discussed sending a letter to Friesen’s about getting the house secured for public safety. Possibly fencing in the property.
d. Discussed seasonal employment possibly starting in April.
Municipal Business Development: None
Motion to Adjourn: Josh Jensen moved to adjourn February 10, 2026, it was seconded by Frank and carried, all in favor. Jessica Nelson declared the meeting adjourned. The next Wolverton City Council Meeting will be held on March 12, 2026.
