Minutes of Wolverton City Council Meeting
Pursuant to due call and proper notice, a meeting of the City of Wolverton Council was held on January 10, 2023. The meeting was called to order by Chad Erickson at 6:15 P.M. Council members present Joshua Jensen, Luke Kratzer and Jess Nelson.
Absent:
Also Present: Deb Price, Tracy Eslinger-Moore Engineering
Presentation:
Tracy Eslinger-Moore Engineering wondering about the size and infrastructure of the sewer system since we share a system with Christine. He wants to insure that the Christine lagoon is the proper size for future growth. We need to get updates from Houston Engineering and watershed before we can answer that question.
Minutes:
a. Josh Jensen moved to accept the December 2022 minutes. It was seconded by Jess and carried, all in favor.
Bills & Claims:
a. Josh Jensen moved to accept the bills & claims. It was seconded by Luke and carried, all in favor.
Utilities: Certified letters were sent.
Correspondence: Deb would like to use the fire hall to have a game day monthly. First day would be Wednesday, January 18, 2023. Game day will be 3rd Wednesday of every month. Deb will put a flyer up at the post office and a post will be put up on Facebook.
Engineer/Water/Sewer:
a. Sewer has been good.
b. Sweeney has been trying to figure out why their system is not working correctly with the new well.
Parks: MN DNR has a grant for parks. Jess is going to look into it further.
Streets:
a. Snow Removal-John received a quote from a company in Fargo of $3,000 a time. We are still looking for a plow for the city pickup.
b. Parking on Hwy 75. Chad contacted DOT and asked about signs that could be posted along the highway indicating that no parking is allowed. We can look at a resolution to have no parking signs.
Mayor/City Clerk: Chad indicated that he discussed with Randy Munson from Christine about the fire and rescue services. Christine does not respond to all calls in our area they are only dispatched in certain cases.
Open Council Position: Deb would like to observe a couple of meetings before deciding on taking the position.

Joshua Jensen moved to approve all resolutions. It was seconded by Luke and carried, all in favor.
Chad reported on the diversion. Houston will be here giving reports on soil boring. Kris Bakkegard from Diversion Authority and Justin Neppl from SVEDA will also be in attendance.
Cash Aaland would like to meet with Chad and Nathan Berseth to discuss the diversion.
Chad handed out updated diversion maps.
Chad has started a list of things that we need to keep in mind such as parks, waterlines, sewer lines, subdivision, apartments, sidewalks, etc. when the levee and future expansion is being looked at.
Municipal Business Development: No Report.
Motion to Adjourn: on January 10, 2023, by Jess Nelson. It was seconded by Josh and carried, all in favor. Chad Erickson declared the meeting adjourned. The next Wolverton City Council Meeting will be held on February 14, 2023.
