Minutes of Wolverton City Council Meeting

Pursuant to due call and proper notice, a meeting of the City of Wolverton Council was held on January 14, 2020 in Council Chambers in the City of Wolverton, MN. The meeting was called to order by Nancy Olthoff at 6:15 P.M. Council members present: Geoff Zibell, Duane Nelson, Chad Erickson and Lisa Pool.

Absent: None
Also Present:

Presentation: None

Minutes: A correction will be made in the December meeting minutes to change sewer to fire. Duane Nelson moved to accept the December 10, 2019 meeting minutes. It was seconded by Chad and carried, all in favor.

Bills & Claims: The checks and bills were reviewed Geoff Zibell moved to accept the bills & claims. It was seconded by Lisa and carried, all in favor. Jessi will add a budget to actual report to the meeting to be reviewed quarterly.

Overdue Utilities:
Shutoff letters were sent.

Correspondence: A city complaint was reviewed. A letter will be sent to the resident regarding dogs barking and getting out of the fence.

Signed the MN League Insurance Tort Waiver.

Engineer/Water/Sewer:
1. Water has been good.
2. Hoping to get Christmas decorations down, weather permitting.
3. Will be picking up the pump from Electric Pump.
4. Waiting on the new sewer pump to arrive.

Fire Department: To be removed from agenda.

Parks:
1. Christmas day did not go well. Only one family attended.

Streets:
1. Working to keep up on snow removal.

Mayor/City Clerk:
1. Resolutions 789 through 794 were read. Chad Erickson moved to approve them. It was seconded by Geoff and carried, all in favor.
2. We had 5 stranded people stay in the hall over the last storm in December.
3. Discussed the MN Livable Code Ordinance. Council will review two chapters and review in February.

Planning Commission: No Report.

Office of Tourism: No Report.

Municipal Business Development: No Report.

New Business: None

Old Business: None

Motion to Adjourn: on January 14, 2020 by Geoff Zibell. It was seconded by Chad and carried, all in favor. Mayor Nancy Olthoff declared the meeting adjourned. The next Wolverton City Council Meeting will be Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at 6:15 pm.
