Minutes of Wolverton City Council Meeting

Pursuant to due call and proper notice, a meeting of the City of Wolverton Council was held on June 9, 2020 via Zoom Conference Meeting. The meeting was called to order by Nancy Olthoff at 6:15 P.M. Council members present: Geoff Zibell, Duane Nelson, Chad Erickson and Lisa Pool.

Absent: None
Also Present:

Presentation: None

Minutes: Geoff Zibell moved to accept the May 12, 2020 meeting minutes. It was seconded by Lisa and carried, all in favor.

Bills & Claims: The checks and bills were reviewed Geoff Zibell moved to accept the bills & claims. It was seconded by Chad and carried, all in favor.

Overdue Utilities:
Two shutoff letters were sent on June 2nd. One has been paid in full.

Correspondence: Was reviewed by the council.

Engineer/Water/Sewer:
1. There are bad ruts in the grass area along the SW edge of town. John will level out and Chad stated he can hall dirt from Ron Mitdal’s property.
2. John will get the old sewer pump from Quality Pump and will store in the shop. Pump can either be used for parts or the council may decide to repair it for a spare in the future.
3. Mike from Wellhead Protection called and stated there is grant money up to $10,000 available for certain projects such as putting a shed around the water control panel at the campground. John will find out if there is any cost to the city and if there are any stipulations.
4. John will contact T& G Sanitation and ask them to no longer drive on city alleys. Jessi will send a letter to all residents reminding them to have their trash cans on city streets, not alleys.
5. John will order a load of gravel to be used on city alleys.

Parks: No Report.

Streets: No Report.

Mayor/City Clerk:
1. Grass letters were sent to two property owners. If not mowed, John will mow on the 10th.
2. Council approved two building permits.

Planning Commission: No Report.

Office of Tourism: No Report.

Municipal Business Development: No Report.

New Business: None

Old Business: None

Motion to Adjourn: on June 9, 2020 by Chad Erickson. It was seconded by Duane and carried, all in favor. Mayor Nancy Olthoff declared the meeting adjourned. The next Wolverton City Council Meeting will be Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at 6:15 pm.
