Pursuant to due call and proper notice, a meeting of the City of Wolverton Council was held on March 6, 2019 in Council Chambers in the City of Wolverton, MN. The meeting was called to order by Nancy Olthoff at 6:15 P.M. Council members present: Geoff Zibell, Lisa Pool, Chad Erickson and Eric Anderson.

Absent: None
Also Present: Breanna Koval, Steve White & Tate (MN State Fire Marshalls), Bob Dablow, Randy Schmidt & Norm (Sabin Fire)

Presentation:
Breann Koval here to discuss Spring water levels. She stated that as of now there is approximately 4” of water in the snow we currently have. As of right now we are not anticipating flood issues but will be watching closely the next few weeks. Discussed that the County usually puts sheets of metal across the culverts on the South side of town to slow the water.

Minutes: Geoff Zibell moved to accept the February 12, 2019 meeting minutes. It was seconded by Chad and carried, all in favor.

Bills & Claims: The checks and bills were reviewed Chad Erickson moved to accept the bills & claims. It was seconded by Eric and carried, all in favor.

Overdue Utilities:
Discussed 3 shutoff letters were sent.

Correspondence: Correspondence was shared with the council.

Engineer/Water/Sewer:
1. Kubota wiper motor is on back order.
2. Sweeny is planning to be here the 12th & 13th to install the new water panel.
3. All water samples have been good.
4.
Fire Department: Discussion was had about the Wolverton Fire Department. We currently only have 2 trained firemen. If a fireman has not received all required training they cannot respond to calls. We reviewed how we have currently been working with Sabin Fire. We reviewed the option to have Sabin completely take over our department or we could do a Service Contract with Sabin. It was decided to pursue the Service Contract option and the couple of firemen we have will be officially members of the Sabin department. We need to discuss the details of the contract and what the fees will be for Sabin to provide us their services as well as using our building. The townships Wolverton currently serves will need to contract Sabin’s services as well.

Parks: Discussed having kickball again this summer. Will talk details in the next few months.

Streets: Discussed snow removal.

Mayor/City Clerk:
1. Jessi stated the audit is almost complete.
2. The new computer is here and Geoff is working to install it. Chad Erickson moved to accept Eric’s resignation. It was seconded by Geoff and carried all in favor.
3. Eric Anderson is moving the end of February and therefore is resigning from his position as a council member.

Planning Commission: No Report.

Office of Tourism: No Report.

Motion to Adjourn: on March 6, 2019 by Chad Erickson. It was seconded by Eric and carried, all in favor. Deputy Mayor Chad Erickson declared the meeting adjourned. The next Wolverton City Council Meeting will be Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 6:15 pm.
