Minutes of Wolverton City Council Meeting
Pursuant to due call and proper notice, a meeting of the City of Wolverton Council was held on May 11, 2021. The meeting was called to order by Nancy Olthoff(remote) at 6:15 P.M. Council members present: Geoff Zibell, Luke Kratzer and Lisa Pool.
Absent: Chad Erickson
Also Present: Tracy-Moore Engineering
Presentation:
a. Tracy discussed ideas for the permanent well project
i. We can possibly look at another grant in August/September. $10,000 maximum
ii. Thein has submitted required documents to MDH for approval before the project can be started.
iii. Most financing agencies will require the job to be competitively bid.
iv. An engineering firm is not required; however, any government funding loan options would require an engineer to run the project.
v. It will probably be a year before the project will be completed.
vi. Moore Engineering will put together some cost/financing options and submit to us to review and discuss at the June meeting.
Minutes:
a. Lisa Pool moved to accept the April 2021 minutes. It was seconded by Luke and carried, all in favor.
Bills & Claims:
a. Geoff Zibell moved to accept the bills & claims. It was seconded by Lisa and carried, all in favor.
Utilities:
Shutoff letter was sent on 05/05/2021.
Correspondence: None
Engineer/Water/Sewer:
a. Water and sewer operations are good.
b. We have someone that would like the dirt and cement from the campground.
c. Electrical line has been fixed at the campground. John is working on the waterline now.
d. Working on getting all picnic tables restained.
e. City clean up day went well.
Parks:
a. Lisa is looking into options for the basketball hoop
b. No tennis court posts-will look to remove the post holders if we don’t plan to get new posts.
c. A camera will be placed at the park to hopefully stop the vandalism.
d. Discussed a kickball or city fun day. We will discuss at June meeting.
Streets: No Report.
Mayor/City Clerk:
a. We will do the 2nd reading of the Wolverton Telephone ordinance in June.
b. Nancy will be in contact with Chad about the reviews. Jessi will email out the job descriptions
to the council.
c. Randy from Houston Engineering was in contact with the three individuals along the river that
will be affected by the levee.
d. Nancy met with Houston Engineering and Diversion authority over the phone. They are working on developing the Memorandum of Understanding.
Planning Commission: No Report.
Office of Tourism: No Report.
Municipal Business Development: No Report.

Motion to Adjourn: on May 11, 2021 by Geoff Zibell. It was seconded by Lisa and carried, all in favor. Nancy Olthoff declared the meeting adjourned. The next Wolverton City Council Meeting will be Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at 6:15 pm.
