Minutes of Wolverton City Council Meeting
Pursuant to due call and proper notice, a meeting of the City of Wolverton Council was held on May 11, 2022. The meeting was called to order by Chad Erickson at 6:15 P.M. Council members present: Geoff Zibell, Joshua Jensen, and Luke Kratzer
Absent: Jess Nelson

Presentation: None
Minutes:
a. Geoff Zibell moved to accept the April 2022 minutes. It was seconded by Joshua and carried, all in favor.
Bills & Claims:
a. Geoff Zibell moved to accept the bills & claims. It was seconded by Luke and carried, all in favor.
Utilities:
Certified letters were sent 05/01/2022-One has paid
Correspondence: Was shared with the council.
Engineer/Water/Sewer:
a. Water and sewer are good.
b. Working on cleaning up garbage and branches around town.
c. Would like a notice to residents sent out asking for garbage cans to be put out further in the road so that the garbage truck doesn’t sink in on road shoulders.
d. Presented 2 bids for parts for hydrant repairs. Geoff Zibell moved to accept the bid from DSG. It was seconded by Luke and carried, all in favor.
e. Presented a bid from Suez to do the normal clean out of the water tower. They will charge $2000. Geoff Zibell moved to accept the bid from DSG. It was seconded by Luke and carried, all in favor.
f. John has contacted the road grader several times to do all the city streets. We are on the list to get done. Alleys have been done with the city tractor.
g. MNDOT is going to cut the willow tree down across from the elevator.
h. Snow fence will be taken down when the field is dried up enough to get out there.
i. New well is waiting for the pump and completion by Thein.
Parks:
a. Basketball Hoop needs modifications then will be installed.
b. All camp spots are full once the campground dries up.
c. Wood is being cut up and removed by a private party and any leftover dirt after the well company is done will be used around town.
d. Dog Park still in discussion.
e. Discussed a vector fee for mosquito spraying from June until October of $1.50. Chad contacted several other towns and this is a typical fee to help offset the cost of chemicals. Joshua Jensen moved to approve this fee addition. It was seconded by Luke and carried.
Streets:
a. On the list for the road grader.

a. Complaint was reviewed.
Planning Commission: Ne Report.
Municipal Business Development: No Report.
New Business: No Report.
Old Business: No Report.
Motion to Adjourn: on May 11, 2022, by Geoff Zibell. It was seconded by Luke and carried, all in favor. Chad Erickson declared the meeting adjourned. The next Wolverton City Council Meeting will be held on June 14, 2022.
