Pursuant to due call and proper notice, a meeting of the City of Wolverton Council was held on October 10, 2017 in Council Chambers in the City of Wolverton, MN. The meeting was called to order by Nancy Olthoff at 6:15 P.M. Council members present: Lisa Pool, Chad Erickson, Eric Anderson and Geoff Zibell.

Absent: None

Presentation:

Minutes: Geoff Zibell moved to accept the September 12, 2017 meeting minutes. It was seconded by Lisa and carried, all in favor.

Bills & Claims: The checks and bills were reviewed Chad Erickson moved to accept the bills & claims. It was seconded by Geoff and carried, all in favor.

Overdue Utilities:
#1 & #4 – certified letters
Discussion was had on how to prevent so many past due accounts.

Correspondence:
Correspondence was shared with the council.

Engineer/Water/Sewer:
Water and Sewer have been hooked up on the Thompson house.
There is a water line leak behind Calvin Annett’s house. Gopher One has been called and Hammond will be in to fix it this week.
Once the water line is fixed John will have gravel hauled in for that area as well as the road back by the Thompson house.
John will be winterizing the ball diamond.
MDH was here to do their 18 month inspection. They have provided a wish list of things that they would like updated.
John is intending to have the park shelter finished before winter.
He fixed the rescue truck today as well.

Fire Department:
They will be having a medical refresher in 2 weeks.
Everything went good with the fall festival. Eric will be making a to do list for next year.
Eric will be following up on the old fire truck.
Fire Board: None

Rescue: None

Parks:
Lisa is looking at grants for the beginning of next year.
Chad will be looking at where the ice rink should be.

Streets:
Roads have been graded.
Xcel has fixed the street lights.
Snow Monsters has submitted a bid stating that they will do the snow removal at the same rate as last year. Eric will let him know that we accept his bid.
We will be discussing John doing snow removal for residents this year.
Mayor/City Clerk:
We will be sending several past due utility accounts to property taxes. Jessi will be sending a letter to these residents.
Nancy & Jessi will be reviewing the budgets.
Complaint follow-up- We need to discuss with lawyer on how to proceed from here.
Job evaluations will be completed next month for John and Jessi.

Planning Commission: We will be letting Wayne no that we are not currently interested in renting the bank building out.
Chad showed the bank to an interested party. If they are still interested they will bring a proposal to the council.
Eric will also be following up with a realtor.

Office of Tourism: No Report.
