Minutes of Wolverton City Council Meeting
Pursuant to due call and proper notice, a meeting of the City of Wolverton Council was held on August 8, 2023. The meeting was called to order by Jess Nelson at 6:15 P.M. Council members present Joshua Jensen and Luke Kratzer.
Absent: Chad Nelson
Also Present:
Presentation: None
Minutes:
a. Josh Jensen moved to accept the July 2023 minutes. It was seconded by Luke and carried, all in favor.
Bills & Claims:
a. Josh Jensen moved to accept the bills & claims. It was seconded by Jess and carried, all in favor.
Utilities: Four certified shut-off letters were sent on August 4th.
Correspondence: None
Engineer/Water/Sewer:
a. Water has been good. Looking to overflow the tower next Monday the 14th.
b. Annual July water samples have all been collected and turned in.
c. Still just the one pump on the lift station is running. See both quotes.
d. We’ve been working on removing the campground.
Parks:
a. City potluck/fun night at the park on the 17th .
Streets:
a. Discussed updating an ordinance to have no overnight parking along Hwy 75. Possibly need 12 signs to cover both sides of the road.
b. Discussed reducing the speed limit on city streets down to 15mph.
Mayor/City Clerk:
a. Discussed still needing more council members. Considered sending out another letter to city residents looking for interested individuals.
Municipal Business Development: None
Motion to Adjourn: on August 8, 2023, by Josh Jensen. It was seconded by Luke and carried, all in favor. Chad Erickson declared the meeting adjourned. The next Wolverton City Council Meeting will be held on September 12, 2023.
