Minutes of Wolverton City Council Meeting

Pursuant to due call and proper notice, a meeting of the City of Wolverton Council was held on July 11, 2023. The meeting was called to order by Chad Erickson at 6:15 P.M. Council members present Joshua Jensen and Luke Kratzer.

Absent: Jess Nelson

Presentation: None

Minutes:
a. Josh Jensen moved to accept the June 2023 minutes. It was seconded by Luke and carried, all in favor.
Bills & Claims:
a. Luke Kratzer moved to accept the bills & claims. It was seconded by Josh and carried, all in favor.
Utilities: None

Correspondence: None

Engineer/Water/Sewer:
a. Water tests have been great.
b. Made multiple calls for someone to grade the roads. Krause Bros did give a quote but now won’t return calls.
c. Lift station needs to be repaired. Estimated cost to fix is $33,840.

Parks:
a. No kickball in July. Planning another event on August 17th.

Streets:
a. Luke was thinking about renting a grader to do his church he will check on cost and perhaps it will try it on some city spots as well.
b. Chad has been working on some of the potholes around town.

Mayor/City Clerk:
a. Chad report Buffalo Watershed is trying to schedule a meeting with Wilkin County. Houston is working on levy elevations still.
b. Chad talked to a city resident that we thought would be interested in a council position. He is not interested. Chad has talked to another individual that would like to sit in on a few meetings and see if he would be interested in participating.

Municipal Business Development: None

Motion to Adjourn: on July 11, 2023, by Josh Jensen. It was seconded by Luke and carried, all in favor. Chad Erickson declared the meeting adjourned. The next Wolverton City Council Meeting will be held on August 8, 2023.
