Minutes of Wolverton City Council Meeting

Pursuant to due call and proper notice, a meeting of the City of Wolverton Council was held on February 11, 2021 council chambers. The meeting was called to order by Nancy Olthoff at 6:15 P.M. Council members present: Geoff Zibell, Luke Kratzer, Chad Erickson and Lisa Pool.

Absent: None
Also Present: Erik Jones from Houston Engineering

Presentation: Erik presented a map with initial idea of where the boundary lines would be around the city. Most likely Highway 75 will be built up on each end and lift station made needs to be raised. Erik will likely be attending our monthly meetings in the future.

Minutes: Geoff Zibell moved to accept the January 12, 2021 meeting minutes. It was seconded by Lisa and carried, all in favor.

Bills & Claims: The checks and bills were reviewed Chad Erickson moved to accept the bills & claims. It was seconded by Geoff and carried, all in favor.

Utilities:
Shutoff letters were sent and all have been paid.

Correspondence: Was shared with the council.

Engineer/Water/Sewer:
1. City well clean up will take time throughout the summer as the ground settles.
2. John’s visited with a few different people on grant and loan options for a permanent well.

Parks: None

Streets: Jeff Lavigne sent in a contract for snow removal. John will need to call him when he wants him in town. He states cost will be $160/hr. with a minimum of $300 per time.

Mayor/City Clerk:
1. Lisa Pool moved to reimburse Jessi for meals provided to the fire fighters working to refill the water tower. It was seconded by Geoff and carried, all in favor.
2. Jessi will put a note in the next utility bill to collect updated phone #’s and emails from all residents.
3. Nancy stated that Wilkin County Emergency also has an option for us to send out mass city notifications if ever needed in the future.

Planning Commission: No Report.

Office of Tourism: No Report.

Municipal Business Development: No Report.

Motion to Adjourn: on February 11, 2021 by Geoff Zibell. It was seconded by Lisa and carried, all in favor. Mayor Nancy Olthoff declared the meeting adjourned. The next Wolverton City Council Meeting will be Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 6:15 pm.
