Pursuant to due call and proper notice, a meeting of the City of Wolverton Council was held on May 14, 2019 in Council Chambers in the City of Wolverton, MN. The meeting was called to order by Nancy Olthoff at 6:15 P.M. Council members present: Geoff Zibell, Chad Erickson, Duane Nelson and Lisa Pool.
Absent: None
Also Present: None
Minutes: Chad Erickson moved to accept the April 9, 2019 meeting minutes. It was seconded by Geoff and carried, all in favor.
Bills & Claims: The checks and bills were reviewed Geoff Zibell moved to accept the bills & claims. It was seconded by Duane and carried, all in favor.
Overdue Utilities:
Discussed 5 shutoff letters were sent.
Correspondence: Correspondence was reviewed. A permit request was reviewed. Clerk will mail out the permit form in order to get all necessary information.
Engineer/Water/Sewer:
1. City clean-up day went well.
2. He’d like approval to purchase the shingles for the North side of shop. Approval was given.
3. Campground has been wet. He spoke to Dave Hammond and tried something with that curb stop as we expect it was leaking.
4. Campground is full for the season.
5. Scott Ingemansen has moved. Trailer is in very poor condition. Clerk will send owner a letter about having it removed.
6. Ball diamond sign will be going back up.
7. H & H Coatings was her May 9th and cleaned the tower. John will be flushing fire hydrants soon.
8. Someone tried breaking into the pop machine. Pepsi was out and fixed the lock.
9. John would like approval to purchase gravel to fix pot holes around town. Discussion was had about purchasing a box blade for tractor. It was agreed that we will purchase a box blade for a maximum of $3,500.
10. Discussion was had about using the pickup from fire for the city or converting the ambulance into a pickup for city use. Nancy will check with FM Ambulance on supplies in ambulance.
Fire Department: We provided the number of commercial and residential properties in town. We need to know how much they will charge the city. Need to discuss how much we will charge them for the use of our building. Discussed heating, utility and telephone expense. We also need to look at insurance amount for the building.
Parks: Eagle Valley Church would like to use the park shelter/ball diamond on June 26th for an event. They are wondering if we’d like their help on any city cleanup projects. Lisa will have them contact John.
Discussed having a city-wide rummage sale the same day as Christine.
Fall Festival/Picnic Day-Chad will talk to church and see if they’d like to help.
Streets: Discussed cleaning the culverts with the fire truck. John will use the tractor to clean out the debris. We also need to check if the culvert by Betz is broken.
Mayor/City Clerk: Next meeting date will be on June 10th instead of the 11th.
Planning Commission: No Report.

Motion to Adjourn: on May 14, 2019 by Chad Erickson. It was seconded by Lisa and carried, all in favor. Mayor Nancy Olthoff declared the meeting adjourned. The next Wolverton City Council Meeting will be Monday, June 10, 2019 at 6:15 pm.
