Minutes of Wolverton City Council Meeting
Pursuant to due call and proper notice, a meeting of the City of Wolverton Council was held on October 17, 2023. The meeting was called to order by Chad Erickson at 6:15 P.M. Council members present Joshua Jensen and Jess Nelson.
Absent Jessi Kappes and Luke Kratzer
Also Present: Shawn O’Dell here to observe, Lisa Keaveny-FLC
Presentation: Lisa Keaveny from Faith Lutheran Church would like to collaborate with the city on community events and bring new community member. She’d like to do Bingo and Brats on November 10th at 7pm. She’s also looking into possibly doing a community blood drive.
Minutes:
a. Josh Jensen moved to accept the September 2023 minutes. It was seconded by Jess and carried, all in favor.
Bills & Claims:
a. Jess Nelson moved to accept the bills & claims. It was seconded by Josh and carried, all in favor.
Utilities: None
Correspondence: None
Engineer/Water/Sewer:
a. Water has been good.
b. Quality Flow set to be here to repair lift station on November 6th.
c. Tim Poehls will do snow removal this year for the city. His hourly rate would be $120.00. John would still need to do sidewalks, alleys, and cleanup/widen intersections.
d. “No Parking” signs are on order from MR sign.
Parks: None
Streets:
a. Corner by Leigh Weiss’s need some work before freeze up.
b. Look at trees for town between Wilkin Soil & Water and Arbor association for next year.
Mayor/City Clerk:
a. Reviewed the UBS account authorization form to add Chad and Jessi on the account. Josh Jensen moved to approve Chad and Jessi as authorized account managers. It was seconded by Jess and carried, all in favor.
Municipal Business Development: None
Motion to Adjourn: on October 17, 2023, by Josh Jensen. It was seconded by Jess and carried, all in favor. Chad Erickson declared the meeting adjourned. The next Wolverton City Council Meeting will be held on November 14, 2023.
